Liz is a Partner at mid-market private equity firm, Livingbridge, where she has spent the last nineteen years. She leads their health and education sector, where Livingbridge has been active for two decades, investing in over 20 platforms and over 65 bolt on acquisitions. Today, Livingbridge has a portfolio of 6 active investments in the sector, including Helping Hands, a national homecare provider; Witherslack, a provider of education and care in the SEN market; Bright Futures, a provider of specialist education and care to young people and adults; Fresh Tandartsen, a leading Dutch dental group. Prior to Livingbridge, Liz spent seven years at Barclays, including a four year spell at Barclays Ventures.
Raj has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry and been with Nordic Capital since 2015. He is Head of the Healthcare sector team and is the responsible advisor for Nordic Capital investments in the sector. Raj holds several non-executive positions including the boards of ERT, ArisGlobal, Alloheim and Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity. Prior to joining, Raj’s healthcare experience spans both working as a practitioner, having initially qualified and practiced as a cardiac surgeon at Oxford, through to extensive transactional experience gained as Co-Head of Goldman Sachs healthcare investment banking practice where he advised private equity and corporate clients. Raj holds degrees in medicine and surgery from Imperial College, London as well as being Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and an MBA from London Business School.
Alexander Friedrich is a managing director in ARDIAN’s buyout fund. Prior to joining ARDIAN he worked in partner roles with Quadriga Capital (Frankfurt) and Gilde Buy Out Partners (Zurich). In both positions he was responsible for transformational LBO and growth expansion transactions in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He began his career in leveraged finance at RBS. Alexander graduated at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and received a Ph.D at the RWTH Aachen University.
Jan co-leads Tritons healthcare sector team, leading the firms investments in amongst others Nordic specialist health care provider Aleris (acquired in 2019) and Finnish health care and social care provider Mehiläinen (exited in 2018). Jan joined Triton in 2016 after 9 years at investment firm Ratos where he was a Senior Investment Manager and Head of Finland. Before that, Jan worked within the healthcare industry at pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer Tamro Group where he was Head of Business Development and M&A. He began his career with The Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MSc in Economics from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland. Since its inception in 1999, Tritons healthcare sector team has done eight platform investments and over 120 add-on acquisitions.
Denise joined Unquote in June 2016 to spearhead our GP and LP profiling effort. She now focusses predominantly on the secondaries market and features. She is a seasoned moderator at Acuris events and a regular Unquote podcast guest and interviewer. Prior to this, she spent almost nine years at Unquote’s sister publication Debtwire as Mid-Market Editor setting up the product in 2012 after five years covering leveraged loans and the restructuring market. Denise graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in History and also has a master's from the Victoria & Albert Museum.
